Founder, CEODavid Fulton is a driven and creative business owner and structural engineer with broad experience spanning private and public clients, including high-end residential, commercial, mass timber, and projects for agencies, land trusts, and jurisdictions. He leverages his expertise in building systems to translate clients’ goals into constructible designs. David is especially effective at communicating design alternatives to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and stakeholder buy-in.
His passion lies in bridging the gap between design and construction, utilizing his attention to detail and emphasis on relationships. David exercises comparative analyses to ensure the appropriate structural system is selected for each project. His vast knowledge and experience allow him to educate and lead project teams, instilling confidence and reducing discrepancies between design and execution in the field.

Chief Operating Office, PrincipalPeter Nussbacher is a principal at Plan North Engineers and an experienced professional engineer specializing in structural design and project management. Before becoming an engineer, Peter served in the US Air Force, where he developed skills in leadership, teamwork, and adaptability. After his military service, he moved into the construction industry, advancing to a foreman role, which deepened his hands-on knowledge of building systems. This blend of experiences gives Peter a unique perspective on structural design and project delivery.
Focusing on commercial and industrial projects, Peter excels in structural analysis, quality assurance, and project management. His commitment to delivering realistic, dependable designs fosters long-term client relationships built on trust and communication.
